The GB023 is a corten steel letterbox with a black front plate, featuring a lockable door at the back. The letterbox has a sleek design that fits both modern and classic homes. The dimensions of the letterbox are 30 x 40 x 100 cm (LxWxH) and it weighs 25 kg.

Installation
The GB023 comes with a separate base plate with 4 mounting holes. These holes have a diameter of 12mm and are 20 cm apart. You attach the base plate to a concrete base. Then, you place the letterbox over it and can screw it in place with bolts on the sides. The bolts are included.

Rusting Process
Corten steel is a very strong type of steel that covers itself with a protective layer of rust when exposed to the outdoors. The letterbox is always delivered unrusted and develops its beautiful rust colour/layer when placed outside. This process takes about 6 to 12 months. This process can be sped up to 2 weeks by using a rust accelerator. You can find the rust accelerator at the bottom of this page under smart combinations.
After it has fully rusted, we always recommend applying a rust stopper. This stops the rusting process and prevents rust-coloured water from running off the letterbox. The rust stopper can also be found at the bottom of this page under smart combinations.

Corten steel is almost always delivered unrusted. It gets its protective layer of rust when left outside. The rust process usually takes 6-12 months, or 2-3 weeks with a rust accelerator. After complete rust formation, we recommend using a rust fixer to prevent rust water.
